workaround… sort of
FireGPG 0.7.2 does check signatures in new GUI. You can switch to old gmail gui (link in the top right corner) to sign / encrypt your own messages. But unfortunatelly, in old gmail gui firegpg’s signature checking (at least for mime messages) fails. So if like myself you only send signed / encrypted messages once in a while - you can still do it by switching to old gmail gui temporarily.

Hi, There is another think that happens very frequently. Lots of time I get the question: “FireGPG is trying to download a big mail. Do you want to continue?” What the hell is that? Is it trying to download the attachment? It’s true I see a lot of network activity. Is there any solution? Thanks

I installed Gpg, I installed the addon for gmail to handle mime messages, I installed Firegpg, it worked fine. I had the icons to sign, encrypt, etc. I then closed FF, rebooted, opened FF, and no longer had the gmail icons. Is this normal and if not, what can I do to retrieve them?

It’s not normal, but I don’t know what to do.
